Oklahoma Senate Bill Nullifies Common Core
It is rare, when something positive is provided in the News. The Oklahoma Senate Education Committee has passed a House bill to abolish Common Core standards. HB3399 was passed by an 11-0 vote to nullify the federally mandated standards, and provide its own standards, adopted by the State Board of Education by Aug. 1, 2014. This bill is an attempt to nullify Common Core.
The bill was sponsored and introduced by Oklahoma Speaker of the House Jeff Hickman, and the bill was passed March 25, 2014. The bill should put a halt on the disliked federally-controlled education. This will put the powers back to the State, and allow the state to remain sovereign.
New Deal legislation from the Federal government is an attempt for the federal government to seize more power over the states. These generally come with mandates imposed by the federal government in the name of standards. Once accepted, the power of the state is shifted over to the federal government.
The Constitution of the United States, the apex of our laws, broke the powers into three governments. The Federal, State, and Local government should retain their powers. However, we continue to see a move of intra-Governmental relationships, where the Federal government is becoming more centralized and powerful.
It is refreshing to see the States push back on the Federal Government and maintain their powers of the State.
Common Core supporters were discouraged about the passing of the Oklahoma
The Constitution does not mention education, due to the responsibility residing primarily in the states. The question will be if the remaining states will stand up and take on their responsibility for education standards or roll over to the Federal Government.

Banker’s Deaths Reach a Dozen – 2014
The number of highly publicized banker’s deaths are up to 12. It was reported initially when 4 bankers died by “suicide” earlier this year. The number quickly moved to 5 deaths, but as of March, the number stands at 12. At least those of which we are aware.

Prediction Win FOR GOP In 2014- Can They Hold It In 2016?
This obviously makes the Democrats very nervous. It is one thing to hand wring in the corners, but when a statistician is willing to post his predictions, is another. Back in July, FiveThirtyEight had posted correctly the Democrats would most likely retain the chamber. The new forecast now favors the Republicans to win at least six seats and capture the chamber.
This is partially due to the deterioration of Obama’s approval ratings, with links to the Democratic party. Obama’s approval rating decreased to 42-43 from the average of 45 percent. Additionally, theRepublican party has “done a better job of recruiting credible candidates, with some exceptions,” saidSilver.
What Nate Silver predicted is significant. Silver had successfully predicted every state in the 2012 election, so people are taking notice for his 2014 prediction. Silver and his team crunch the numbers, in order to provide the outcome. [That discern math class in college was worth something.]
Chris Cillizza a writer for the Washington Post concedes with Silverman’s prediction , but is not hopeful the GOP can maintain majority in 2016. Cillizza accurately accounts for 23 Republican seats, in comparison to 10 Democrats up for the 2016 election. Most of these GOP seats are in the Democratic states. In order to maintain control, if the GOP wins in 2014, the 23 Republican seats within the Democratic states will need to also be held.
I submit another issue is at play. The two opposing factions within the Republican party, tea party Republicans versus the old Republican party.
The GOP was happy for the support of the Tea Party movement, providing momentum for the party back in the day. However, not so much, while in the ranks of the party. House Republican leader Boehner has sided with the House Democrats no less than six times within the year, sharply opposing the Tea Party-backed members. This is only causing friction within the Republican party.
For those Tea Party members wishing to reduce government over-sight, decrease the ever increasing debt, reduce the federalism mindset, they will be fighting the Democrats and the current Old Republican Party.

Entire United States Power Grid Brought Down In Few Moves
The United States power grid is divided into three major networks. The three networks are Texas
Noting the report, the Federal Regulatory Commission is requiring the industry to provide plans by June 1st in protecting the grid. This will be a costly endeavor. 90% of the power grid was created before computers were invented. A interlocking capability, or failover setup will be needed. What is feared is a domino effect, when one substation goes down, the cascade effect will knock the remaining ones.
Although 90% or more of the network has been created before computers, the newer substations allow computer connection. This causes additional risk, from cyber-attacks.
Recall last year, snipers shot a electrical substation for 19 minutes. This action effectively knocked out 17 giant transformers. To avoid the blackout, officials rerouted the power grid around the site. This took manual labor in order to bypass the electric grid. Once done, a collective 27 days was needed to make repairs in order to bring the substation back online.
Summary
United States is sitting on a weak grid. The network is based on old technology, weak in security, and does not have risk management compliances in case of an issue.

New Study Fluoride (Water Fluoridation) Is A Neurotoxin
There have now been 27 studies on the harmful effects of fluoride, including the reduction of IQ in children.
The story of the IQ reduction study came out in 2012, and was published in the Federal GovernmentJournal. The EPA paper can be found here
“The children in high fluoride areas had significantly lower IQ than those who lived in low fluoride areas,” write Choi et al.
While they provide these significant findings, there is always a request for more testing to make absolutely sure. Paul Beeber an attorney calls it straight by requesting a stop of all fluoridation. “It’s senseless to keep subjecting our children to this ongoing fluoridation experiment to satisfy the political agenda of special-interest groups,” says attorney Paul Beeber, NYSCOF President. “Even if fluoridation reduced cavities, is tooth health more important than brain health? It’s time to put politics aside and stop artificial fluoridation everywhere,” says Beeber.
Documentaries have been produced on the harmful effects of ingesting water fluoridation. The more recent documentary titled “The Great Culling: Our Water” can be viewed in full on YouTube
“Strong evidence exists that industrial chemicals widely disseminated in the environment are important contributors to what we have called the global, silent pandemic of neurodevelopmental toxicity.”
The article goes onto identify the human brain as uniquely vulnerable to these toxic chemical exposures. While the individual testing of the toxins shows issues in development, “their combined effects could have enormous consequences”. It is even more troubling when you consider the full impact of all these toxins in the environment on everyone.
Scared yet?
The article also states concern that additional neurotoxicants may be found in the 201 existing chemicals that yet to be even studied.
“A meta-analysis of 27 cross-sectional studies of children exposed to fluoride in drinking water, mainly from China, suggests an average IQ decrement of about seven points in children exposed to raised fluoride concentrations.”
More to come.
